The Food Analogy.

In the world of relationships, this piece of wisdom is all I have to offer...

In this world, we had microwave meals, and Sunday roasts. The serious relationship is the roast: hard work, takes plenty of practice and experience to make the perfect dinner. But every time is just as wonderful as the last, and is something you can trust to be spectacular.
The 'fling' is the microwave meal: quick, easy, full of unidentified crap that could do damage. It tastes pretty good, and satisfies....for a while. Have too many, and you build a 2 inch layer of fat, causing heart failure and ultimately.DEATH.

And if you asked 'hey, fancy roast or a microwave meal?' without explanation.
You would ALWAYS choose the Sunday roast.

Love.

Love is such a mystery to so many people today. I think I am lucky enough to feel it so strongly in my day to day life.
Love is something that some may never fully truly understand, which although is a sadness is itself, makes me believe that love, and true love, is such a powerful and indescribable thing. Destructive and life-changing, but we must not fear it, but simply embrace it.

Life is meaningless only if we allow it to be. Each of us has the power to give life meaning, to make our time and our bodies and our words instruments of love and hope.
-Tom Head.

Love and kindness is never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them and they bless you, the giver.
-Barbara De Angelis.

Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.
-Vincent Van Gogh.

Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.
-Zora Neale Hurston.

Keep love in your heart. A life without it is a sunless garden where the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings and warmth and richness that nothing else can bring.
-Oscar Wilde.

The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.
-Mother Teresa.

Eventually you will come to understand that love heals everything, and love is all there is.
-Gary Zukav.

Love is an emotion experienced by many, enjoyed by few.
-George John Nathan.

Where there is great love, there are always miracles.
-Willa Cather.

*Click*...

One of the most satisfying things in life is capturing an incredible moment in a single millisecond. One day, maybe I will capture something that can reveal everything they have to say through their eyes and body.

After all, a picture is a thousand words...

A little bracelet made on a whim...

Materialism.

Nobody can deny a beautiful shoe or a stunning LBD, that is truth.
But I realised, as i walked in the rain to my Grandma's house;Perhaps they miss the uplifting smell of rain, as they run to save their hair and make-up. And the glow of the distant sunset, waving us goodbye for the evening.

I tell you, I inhaled the scent and basked in the sunset, with a smile. Hair wet, and mascara running.

Lightbulb Moment.

It was on a whim, honest.
But I've been banned from wearing it by my dear Mother, who sees it as a threat to my life.
Fair enough,
But it is sweet.

Bonding with Nature.

It's Alex's birthday today, and inspired by the mention of flowers the other day, I promised to make her a daisy garland.

Finding the urge, I also made one for myself, greedy bitch that I am.

All this makes me feel like summer, summer, summer! Just don't tell Alex yet... I'm going to drop it off at her house tonight!
